2020: The Era of Newborn Creatives and Influential Athletes
"What is your aspiration in life?"
We then see a visual of her underwater, almost like she was drowning in her own thoughts. Then, Beyonce replies,
"My aspiration in life is to be happy".
Going back into reality, I reflected on that and told the people interviewing me that quarantine has allowed me to grow and develop myself into a whole new being. I think, as a creative and hooper, these sorts of things happen because we are adjusting to social survival. The routines we have to change and redirect ourselves. How do you live with too much time? Stressed in the future? Struggling to see where you will be next? That's all normal to think about. But, what you do during that can define what you could become.
The interview then blossomed into a conversation. I started to express that this time really is crucial and, more importantly, an eyeopener. Think about it.
When you come home after a long day of work, sleep is very much on all our minds. But, we all like some form of entertainment to ease ourselves beforehand. Whether it's watching tv, drawing, playing video games, etc.
That is a form of art. Creatives create those things for us to have to enjoy. For us to be happy.
Another example: You are frustrated, internally, and externally. You need to relax but can't sit still. There's nothing that gets your energy up and with the gyms closed, you feel you lost a sense of place and engagement. But, look around you. Look at yourself. Your body is a machine. Nature is the original fitness center. All you need is a few tools, your body, and willpower to workout. Technology has allowed us to follow and perform workouts from professional athletes and trainers. They are heroes that will guide us into better days. It is important to realize that without fitness or sports, our emotional and mental stability can become very harmful to our overall health.
Therefore, this is the bigger picture now. We have given thanks to the health workers, to the doctors, to the governors, and even to our teachers. But, let's not forget to thank the creatives and athletes. They are saving lives too. Mental health creates an impact on how your body will perform and protect. Depression and suicide are just as dangerous as a deadly virus. They are all unpredictable and create levels of uncertainty. But, where it all starts could maybe help prevent such things. And that is our happiness.
The more we focus on being happy, more innovative, and building stronger bodies, the possibilities for a brighter future. We are all in this together.
