The Last Dance: Episode 10

It is too good to be true. As we enter into the last episode of this documentary, I can't help but wonder what people took away from this. Did it inspire them to be their own version of greatness or did they just simply watch for the sake of boredom? Not that either option is wrong, but I do believe it is important that even if you aren't a fan of basketball, you can still learn from the stories being told. They are more than just for the energy of sports. They are real-world situations that we can pass on to the next generation. If all basketball players only played and did nothing else, then our depth would be incomplete. We would be nothing more than robots.

Episode 10 gave a nice breakdown to tie all the other episodes together. When you really think about it, if business and money didn't cause most evil in the world, The Chicago Bulls could have stayed together and potentially won another title. Regardless of age or that they were getting "tired", I felt their drive and hunger as a team was undefeated. You could have the greatest player in the world, but when role players also are playing their part at the highest level, that team becomes very difficult to win against.

I mentioned a couple blogs ago about the type of players on a team. You have players that score a lot of points, players that make assists, and players that have defensive dominance. When all these different kinds of skills come together, it is truly a beautiful reflection on the game of basketball. People sometimes forget the importance of teammates being there for each other on the court. Not every team builds that kind of trust and it is rare to come by. Matter of fact, it's just fate.

I'm glad I was able to follow along this journey of Michael. I found it interesting, in terms of how he was able to overcome a lot of "life vs basketball" situations. I felt it is something a lot of athletes could relate to and be inspired by. The world is undergoing the greatest change in our generation right now. We have to be ready. It is the best time to work and develop your craft. Not only that but to expand your horizons on other outlets as well. Be more than one solution, for not everything is dependable or lasts forever. Learn to adjust and keep moving forward. Only you have the power to make a change in your life.
