Progress: The "Way2Work" Motive

With talent comes great responsibility. As we grow through this technological age, athletes are able to come together more than ever before. Being a newbie to the blogging game, I have still a long way to go. But, so far, it has been a journey. I have gotten to meet some inspiring creators. Not only do they assist others for the love of the game, but they become the token to their spotlight.

One of the Uk's best content creators that I got to meet that helps hoopers showcase their talents is Way2Work.

I have watched his visuals for not only his video editing but for how he develops with athletes on the court. It feels like a small world since I am all the way from New York. Ever since coming to the UK and making this blog, he was one of the first few I managed to connect with. We have had discussions here and there, as well as talking about skills development.

His recent video, "Day 1- Phenom x Way2work Winter Camp" gives a strong resemblance to some tough training sessions I have seen here in the USA. Focusing a lot on the little things and constantly repeating them. The reason that repeating skill work is so important is that it can always get harder. You can always keep challenging the same move, over and over again. By creating resistance to that move, you would naturally grow to adapt to it and become stronger, quicker, and more flexible.

Not only is that a key factor to training, but the development of personality and accountability is a serious outlook as well. When you compete in camps, you train hard to make each other better. You become family and look out for one another. The building of players is more than just a jump shot or how dangerous your handles can get. You also get to be more yourself as well. Becoming your own identity as a player, while hustling, making new friends, and having fun.

In terms of accountability, you learn to recognize where your flaws are or how you communicate on the court. If there is anything that I have learned watching Way2Work, is that you can always keep working to get better. It is all about mental toughness and putting the time in. Elite players aren't made overnight. But, they are always remembered.
